Metallica Metallicsson

I just read that a swedish couple has officially named their girl: Metallica.

It was not as easy as it sounds, they even had to go to court and all, but in the end, they got the approval!

It will be interesting to see what kind of music taste this child develops.. what if she ends up being totally into pop crap? Oooor what if it turns out she will be a solo singer, will she have to come up with an(other) artistic name?

At least, Metallica will have one thing to be proud of: her parents are no quitters!

I hope the court didnt grant an approval for the last name Metallicsson too. I know how lovely can 'matching names' sound to some (weird) swedish ears. Havent you met an Eric Ericsson, Johan Johansson, Martin Martinsson, Sven Svensson, etc?

Back to the 80s!

I am of the belief that attempting to bring the 80s back to fashion, should be something like the 8th Capital Sin.

I have finally started studying danish at an 'Intensive' school called KISS (København Intensive SprogSkole). This school is supposed to be "The ultimate way to learn danish", at least according to their motto, and now, of course according to my expectations.

Their system is very different from other schools, they focus A LOT on a correct pronounciation, which is one of the most challenging things about learning this crazy language.

Even when at the moment, my spanish speaking tongue is engaged on a very bloody duel to get accostumed to danish odd sounds, im loving it!!

I expect a fluent danish with a really cool København-street accent in 9 months :)
