Blessed among the guys!

Pedro, Gil and I went to Puebla just to change atmosphere.. and well yeah, two of our friends live there at the moment so why not? Its only around a 1.5 hr drive from here and its a small colonial city that is worth the visit.

As soon as we got there, Paquito (or Armando as he likes to call himself) took us to a very nice restaurant so we had a good mexican meal! Our late lunch was followed by a stroll and photo session downtown, a pre-party at Paquito's and a night out with the guys!

For some reason i always end up having more boy-friends than girl-friends... but its never very evident when im around them (at least not for me), I only realize it when i see the pictures or i give a serious thought to it and make calculations...

I think the trend started during my university years, it was so much easier to make friends with the guys (as long as i was not attracted to them of course)! Im gonna say this very lightly cause i dont want to go into gender theory and all that yada yada.. but in general i think guys are usually more uncomplicated, chilled, practical, straightforward and easygoing than girls... and to me, thats reason enough to make friends with them faster!

Im obviously not underestimating all the positive factors of having girl friends.. so im not even going to justify myself. This post goes to all my male friends and thats it.. may they live long and prosper! Saluuud!

Xochimilco 2005!

Last year in February we organized a little trip to Xochimilco, mainly to make Pedro's wish come true.. he is from the sovereign republic of Moroleon, so he had never had the pleasure to cruise in the astonishing canals of Xochimilco. The mission was 100% accomplished back then, but we had such a great time that we decided to go back the next year and make it a tradition...

February 5, 2005 and here we are again!... thristy people from Queretaro, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Dominican Republic and DF are on board, beers and snacks to survive the trip, music and of course cameras to capture those special moments (and to help us reconstruct the sequence of events the next morning).. and we are ready to go!

After 3 rounds (or something) in the canals, who knows how many beers, and a lot of stops to 'the loo'... Our annual 'trajinera' tour has officially become an epic classic.. or so they say!
